Wishing you the Happiest Birthday!

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I am over at Craftin Desert Diva's blog sharing with you a CAS card.  CAS cards are really hard for me as I always want to add more.

For this card I did some creative masking to make the lil pig from Farm Living stamp set to look like he is wallowing in mud.  I colored everything with Copic markers.  I used the banner from the Mix It Up dies and the sentiments are from Wishful Thoughts stamp set.  I finished the card off with Fairy Dust Sequins.

I hope this has inspired you to look at your stamps differently and not always use them as they come.

Thank so much for stoppin' by!

Here's what I've created for you...

I created this cute card using the new Peek a Boo stamp set and the new Picture Frame Dies.  I just love this set so much, it has the cutest lil critters!  I die cut the picture frame in pattern paper then I die cut it 3 more times in plain thick white cs to make it 'pop' up.  My pattern paper was 2 sided so I just flipped over the left over pieces and glued them inside the rectangles/square slots.  I colored my critters with my Copic markers and fussy cut them out.  For the inside I used the Fancy Stitched Label Dies and Bring on the Cake stamp set.  Finished it off with some flowers from my stash.

For more info on the Rules and to join us go here:  Leinzlove Tear Bears Challenges Blog

The theme we were given this month was to use a Bunny and this is what I made...

My daughter's 23rd birthday was last month and she loves anything Disney so, I thought of the rabbit from Alice in Wonderland.  I found this free digi stamp on the 'interweb' and printed it, colored with Copic markers and distressed the paper with Tim Holtz's distress inks.  The heart banner is from the Silhouette store as well as the scalloped oval inside of the card and the banner on the envelope.  I used a black pen in the Silhouette machine to write the sentiments using the free Alice in Wonderland font.  The diamond background stamp is an old Stampin Up background stamp inked in Tim Holtz's distress ink.  I made the matching envelope using WeR memory keepers Envelope punch board.

The sentiment on the heart says:
I couldn't forget,
Whatever I'd do,
To remember this day
That belongs
to you!

Inside says:
A Very Merry Un-happy
Birthday to you!

I hope this has inspired you to come and join us!

CDD-Throwback Thursday-Busy Bees

Hey Crafty Friends!

Happy Thursday!

I am on Craftin Desert Diva's blog today for another Throwback Thursday.  Today I am showcasing Busy Bees and Stamp It Big stamp sets along with Stitched in Circle Dies.

Here is what I created.....

I started off watercoloring stripes for my background on watercolor paper using Tim Holtz's distress paint in black.  I stamped the flowers from the Busy Bees stamp set on the medium sized stitched circle from Stitched in Circle Dies onto watercolor paper.  I then colored the images using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  I embossed the Happy Birthday sentiment from Say It Big stamp set.  I splattered the background and circle with black and gold paints.  I cut a black circle mat with my Cricut then die cut the large scallop die in pink from the Stitched in Circle dies.  Finishing off with a gold bow.

A Waddle Thanks-CDD Throwback Thursday

Hey Crafty Friends!  Today I am over at Craftin Desert Diva's blog to welcome you to Throwback Thursday where each Thursday we showcase an older stamp set and or dies.

Today I am sharing an all time favorite stamp set of mine, Punny Farm and some older dies!  I just love the cute little critters and sentiments in this set.  I created a CAS (clean and simple) card today using the duck.

I did a technique that my DT sister, Jan, shared with us a while back showing how to stamp the reverse of an image.  (Go here to see post.)  I colored my images with Copic markers, the background is done with TH's distress inks spritzed with water.  The grass pieces are from Build a Scene stamp set.  The mat was cut from Mix It Up dies, speech bubble is from In Line Dies and the hill is from Outdoor Landscape Dies.
