Today starts week 2 of Craftin Desert Diva's Create a Scene Linky Party.  For my inspiration card I made a Father's Day card using the truck from Farmer's Market and the sentiment is from Happy Celebrations and the red stitched frame is from Mix It Up dies.  I colored the truck with Copic markers then added glossy accents to the windshield and wheels.  I also used my Copics to make the matching plaid background.  Quick, easy and cute!

I hope that this has inspired you to come and play along with us!

Here is what I made..

This lil scene came to my mind when I though of In the Garden.  I started by stamping the bunny (Chilly stamp set) the carrot, (Farmer's Market) fence (Build a Scene) and tree (Farm Living) all on Tim Holtz's watercolor paper.  I then masked the fence and stamped the horse (Farm Living) and for the carrot tops I tore a sheet of post it note and just stamped the tops.  I watercolored my scene using Tim Holtz's distress markers by scribbling them onto a craft mat then picking it  up with my wet brush.  I used Fancy Frame Dies to cut out scene and the scalloped mat.

I hope this has inspired you to join us for the In the Garden Linky Party.

The theme we were given this month was the Color Red and this is what I made...

I think this is one of my favorite cards I have ever made!  All of the products I used are from Craftin' Desert Diva's shop with the exception of the Martha Stewart heart border punch and the Cricut embossing folder!

I started off stamping my truck from Farmers Market stamp set onto white 110lb cs, then I masked the truck and stamped the heart, from Wildly Cute mini stamp set, and masked each heart before stamping the next.  I then colored it with Copic markers and cut it out with my new Brother Scan n Cut 2!  (I am so in love with this machine!!! Best investment next to the MISTI that I have purchased to date!)  It's hard to tell but I used Wink of Stella in clear over the hearts and glossy accents on the windshield and side window.  Next, I die cut a road using the hill die cut from Outdoor Landscape Dies on white cs and used my Tim Holtz distress inks with the blending tool to color the road.  For the 'trees' in the background I used the Stitched Scallop Dies  diecut in white cs and colored the same way as the road with TH distress inks.  For the sky I die cut the round stitched scallop using Stitched Circle Dies colored the same as the others. I then took the same circle die and die cut the road and treeline  then layered them on the sky circle to make my scene.  The banner is hand cut and the sentiment is from Farmers Market stamped in Versafine onyx black ink.  I dry embossed the cardbase with Cricut dots embossing folder on my Cuttlebug and used Martha Stewart's heart border punch on the red plaid pattern paper.  Tied a natural twine bow around the top and called it done!  And to be honest I haven't finished the inside yet!  Not sure what I want to do yet there!

I hope this has inspired you to come and join us!

Aw Shucks! You're A-maze-ing

Hello Crafty Friends!  Today I am over at Craftin Desert Diva's Blog sharing a card I made using the recently released Farmers Market stamp set, Fancy Frames Dies, Outdoor Landscaping Dies and Corn Maze Sequins.

I stamped the bucket and front corn with Versafine* onyx black ink then masked them off and then I stamped more corn and before I would stamp another corn I would mask off each new corn that was stamped.  I then colored the images and ground with Copic Markers and used Tim Holtz's distress inks for the sky. I originally used distress inks for the ground but when I went to make the shadows for the bucket and corn it didn't look right so I just colored over the entire ground with my copics.  I used the Outdoor Landscaping dies as a mask for the ground and sky.  I then die cut the scene using the large scallop frame from the Fancy Frames Dies, stamped the sentiments then added some sequins for a lil bling.  I also tied jute string around the top of the card for dimension.

*Note-although I stamped my images in Versafine ink you usually are supposed to use Memento ink with copics but I didn't realize it until I was done.  Luckily it didn't bleed.

A Harvest of Love-CDD photo inspiration challenge

Hey Crafty Friends!  Sharing a card I made today for Craftin Desert Diva's Photo Inspiration going on at CCD Gallery FB page.  I used Autumn Wishes and matching dies, Farmers Markets and Fancy Frames Dies.

Photo Inspiration

I embossed the background using Versamark Ink with clear EP on Glossy Paper then I brayered over the cs with an old inkpad I have had for years called Kaleidacolor Raised Rainbow Dye Inkpad-Autumn Leaves.  I stamped the squirrel with Versafine onyx black ink and watercolored with very old Tombow markers.  So, know that these brand items last for years, I am talking 10yrs +!  I think that is awesome!

I then cut out the frames and banner using the Fancy Frames Dies from CDD inked the edges with chalk inks and stamped the sentiment in Versafine onyx black.  The ribbon is very old too!  It paper rafia ribbon.

I am always drawn to oranges, purples and greens which equal Halloween for me!!  It is my favorite Holiday and I just love all the lil pumpkins, black cats, ghosts & goblins, well just anything pertaining to Halloween! LOL  I got my inspiration from Kristina Werner, she is one of my favorite paper crafting artist! She has awesome tutorials on her youtube channel, go check her out here if you haven't yet! Here is my card:

I used several stamp sets for this card. (see below)  I stamped the frog and pumpkins (I masked the pumpkins with a post it note each time I wanted one to 'go' behind the other and to stamp the frog so he looked like he is behind the pumpkins) with Versafine onyx black ink and colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  But before I colored the frog and pumpkins I used liquid masking fluid to cover them, once that was dry I then watercolored the background with Tim Holtz Distess Ink pads and splattered white paint on top. I put glossy accents on the frogs eyes.  The speech bubble is from Cricut Design Space and the sentiment is stamped in Versafine onyx black ink.

Here are the CDD Products I used:

Autumn Wishes
Happy Celebrations

Farmers Market
Rain or Shine
I hope y'all will come and join us!  We love seeing your creations!
