For my card I used the Magical Wishes stamp set stamping the unicorn and rainbow in Versafine black ink, safe for watercoloring, onto Tim Holtz's watercolor paper.  I watercolored the images using Tim Holtz's distress inks.  I used Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter pen over all the images but it is hard to see as I couldn't get a good picture capturing it.  The circle is die cut from Stitched in Circle Dies, the clouds are from the Sky is the Limit Dies and banner is from the Flag Banner Dies.

I hope you enjoyed my card for today and you will join us in the Linky Party.

CDD Sneak Peek Day 4 August Release

Hello Crafty Friends!

This week we are showcasing the August Release over at Craftin Desert Divas Facebook Event Page.   Come and join us for the Sneak Peeks and there are prizes to be won also!

Today is the last day of Sneak Peeks and tomorrow, the 22nd & 23rd, starts the Blog Hop starting here.

Here is my project for the new Your Wish stamp set.  This is stamp set is so very cute, funny and snarky just my style.

I stamped the monkey then masked him to stamp the genie and then masked her to stamp the carpet.  I colored the images with Copic markers, remasked them to use my distress inks with a blending tool to make the background.  I die cut the cloud from The Sky is the Limit Dies to make a template to use for making the background.  Although you can barely see the clouds they are there.  The reason why you can't see them is because I messed up around the girl and tried to use a marker to fix it.  Well, this made it worse so I took clean water and brush and just dabbed water to make more 'clouds' taking away the definitions of my original clouds.  I just went with it and spritzed some water droplets and also spritzed perfect pearls too.  So, the moral of the story is don't give up when you think you have ruined your entire piece!  It's not perfect but I didn't think it should've been thrown out.  :)  I popped dotted the cloud with fun foam.  The frame is cut using the large scallop die from Fancy Frame Dies.  The paper I used is X-press It Blending Card for Copics.  The pink and white cs is Core'denations from Joanns.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today!

Party Like a Monster!

Hello Crafty Friends!

I am over at Craftin Desert Diva's blog today sharing a cute lil monster card I made using the stamp set Monster Mania and Mix It Up dies.  I masked the monsters using post it notes so that they could be in a group photo. The images were colored with Copic markers and added glossy accents to the eyes.  I made the Polaroid frame using the two rectangle frames from the Mix it Dies.  I kept it clean and simple by keeping the background all in white cardstock.  I added some matching sequins from Trick or Treat sequins.  The 'ribbon' is just vellum cardstock cut to look like ribbon.  I used fun foam to pop up the photo.

I hope you enjoyed my card for today!

You are awesome sauce!

Hello Crafty Friends!

I am over on the Craftin Desert Diva's blog today sharing with you a slider card I made using the Adventure Land Tiny SentimentsMix It Up Dies and Flag Banner Dies.

I got my inspiration from Jennifer McGuire's video she made this past week.  This scene came to me as I was thinking of what would make a good slider card.

I stamped the alien in the space ship with Memento black ink, colored with Copic markers and added glossy accents over the lights and window.  I hand cut the 'light' coming from the ship and used distress ink to color it yellow.  I embossed the sentiment in black embossing powder.  I used watercolor paper to make the galaxy and planet using distress inks, white paint and Perfect Pearls for the splatters.  I used the a banner from the Flag Banner Dies to make my flag.  The sentiment on the flag is stamped in blue metallic ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.  The arrow on the pull tab is from the Mix It Up Dies.
